WINCHESTER and WESTERN » The old Musselman plant stands tall trackside in Inwood, WV on the former Cumberland Valley Railroad as the night switcher crew of the W&W returns from Winchester to Corning Yard.

MUSSELLMAN PLANT – INWOOD, WV

The Winchester and Western switcher crew approaches Clear Brook from the south on it’s return journey back to Corning Yard. Trackside stands the former Clear Brook Feed and Supply Mill built in the 1940’s.
The engineer inside the cab of Winchester and Western GP38 2197 leading train 86 lays on the horn at the King Street crossing in downtown Martinsburg, WV with the former the Cumberland Valley – Pennsylvania Railroad Station on the left. The train consists of three engines and about 15 cars travelling a steady 13 mph as it rolls down a slight grade after switching cars with CSX at the wye north of town.
